The city's leading home stager debuts divinely made-in-and-for-LA furniture.
All the city’s a stage: Meridith Baer helps LA homes fly off the market, such as this hideaway in Brentwood featuring end tables, seating, and lamps from Baer’s new home collection—and in her signature neutral-chic look.
Stager-turned-design diva Meridith Baer, 68, is known for tricking out LA’s most coveted celeb homes, and with A-list clients like Julia Roberts and Elon Musk, it’s no wonder her new furniture collection is suddenly de rigueur for California–chic digs. The Meridith Baer Home Collection features a line of customizable sofas, chairs, and pillows in Baer’s signature heavy white linen, with every piece made in Downtown LA. “[When furnishing a home], we couldn’t always find the items we wanted in the quality we were looking for, so I decided to launch a line of furnishings myself,” says Baer. As the premier home stager in the city, she knew what was missing from the LA market. For one: “Outdoor furniture that’s reflective of indoor furniture, but more forgiving and durable.” What’s more? The LA native gives back to the community through various organizations, including Venice’s Westminster Transitional Living Center, which provides support and living arrangements for homeless women and children who can’t return home. “The center helps women get back on their feet, find a job, and sets them up in modest permanent housing,” says Baer. “We have furnishings [with little] wear that we’re no longer using, so it’s a natural fit for us to pass these pieces on to these families.” Now that’s divine design.
