From family ties to Shaman Blessings, this month, jewelry goes spiritual.
This spring, Newport Beach-based jewelry line Gorjana launches a line for matchy-matchy moms and daughters. The Gorjana Mini and Me collection features adult and child-size fine jewelry pieces sold as a set ($65–$75)—just in time for Mother’s Day. “I wanted to create a special collection where moms and daughters [could] always feel connected,” says designer Gorjana Reidel, 38, about her latest on-trend launch. Inspired by her six-year-old daughter, Reidel set to make delicate luxury jewelry to mimic her own contemporary pieces. The collection follows the debut of Gorjana’s popular Power Gemstones stackable bracelets ($38 each). Staying true to the Cali craze of all things “wellbeing,” the designer has each gemstone blessed by a local shaman. “I have a shaman woman come and cleanse the stones and set positive intentions on them,” she says of the nine different styles, which include “tranquility” and “truth.” “I realized that gemstones actually carry natural properties and became infatuated with them—this is my other passion project.” Trendy magical gemstones that keep you balanced? We’ll namaste to that.
