After her well-received first performance at Coachella—that sent Adele herself into a tizzy—Beyoncé is gearing up for her second performance this weekend. A photo posted to her website seems to hint that last week’s performance may truly just be a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Chances are, those headed to Indio this weekend will see an entirely new show, complete with a new set of hits from Queen Bey herself.
With a little help from a mysterious photo Beyoncé posted of a suitcase with song titles on it, we're guessing these are the songs she'll tackle in her second weekend at Coachella.
The 12-year-old (!) duet with Jay-Z is one of the suitcase stickers on Bey’s site. In the video for the song, Beyoncé dresses up like her hubby and during his rap, she lip syncs. “Upgrade U” was released on the B’Day album.
The iconic song from Destiny’s Child’s 1999 album The Writing’s on the Wall is also on the suitcase. Perhaps Beyoncé will use the hair salon theme in the music video for her performance. While another Destiny’s Child reunion wouldn’t be out of question, Bey has done “Bills, Bills, Bills” solo before on one of her previous tours.
Another Destiny’s Child hit from 2004, the song seems destined for Coachella with its desert theme. It was also just on the cusp of when Beyoncé began to branch out on her own. Perhaps it will be the last of her Destiny’s Child reunion during the set.
Moving into the Sasha Fierce era is B’s “Ego,” nominated for a Grammy for Best Rap/Sung Performance. There’s also a remix of “Ego” out there with Kanye West—perhaps he will make an appearance. After all, he did just reemerge on Twitter.
Bey’s “6 Inch” from Lemonade brings in an artsier Beyoncé. The lyrics to the song are fierce and could possibly make for a truly entertaining opener to her second weekend set. The ultra-sexy vibes of the video will most likely result in some gorgeous costume changes too—last week Beyoncé had five.
