Sushi Roku Pasadena celebrates 12 years of business with a special 12-course tasting menu ($48) that features bite-sized highlights from their menus—past, present, and future. Offered throughout December, the special kicks off with a trio of cold bites, including salmon sashimi carpaccio with shaved black truffles, a toro block, and yellowtail sashimi with diced chiles. Three warm selections follow, featuring spicy tuna served atop crispy rice, asparagus “kakinotane” alongside rice crackers, and beef meatballs accompanied by karashi mustard. After a salad course comprising chicken salad drizzled in ginger and creamy mustard dressing, diners will enjoy four pieces of sushi paired with miso soup. Sushi options include king crab served with Champagne beurre blanc, sea bream with yuzu and sea salt, salmon with tomato shallot sauce, and tuna with soy truffle and Parmesan cheese. For dessert, indulge in a mini chocolate volcano.
In addition to the month-long specialty menu, the resto is offering half-off their entire food menu on 12-12-12 from 11 AM to 11 PM.
