Ruby Neri 'Sculptures' at David Kordansky Gallery

“Sculptures” by LA-based artist Ruby Neri is a thought-provoking take on the human form showing at the David Kordansky Gallery through August 18. Fifteen life-sized pieces—some reaching almost six feet in stature—create an eclectic expanse of abstract shapes, vibrant colors, and meaningful expressions that speak to the human spirit.
Painted brightly and made with plaster, steel, and clay, the sculptures are posed and painted in a variety of ways that blend the lines between primitive and modern. Neri’s works are also on display in the Hammer Museum’s “Made In L.A. 2012” showcase exhibition through September 2. 3143 S. La Cienga Blvd. Unit A, Culver City, 310-558-3030
