RIMOWA Honors JU52 Aircraft with Lavish Party
July 17, 2012 | by —Michelle Ward | Homepage
Elite German luggage company, RIMOWA, partnered with the iconic JU52 planes for a July 11 event at Van Nuys Airport. The event is part of a larger collaboration between the two companies, with JU-AIR's JU52 planes stopping in select cities in the US and throughout North America.
Nicknamed the “flying suitcase,” the JU52 inspired RIMOWA to create its iconic aluminum grooved luggage in the 1950s. The Van Nuys event paid appropriate homage, with 50s-style touches felt throughout its live entertainment and elegant dinner party. Guests including Chris Hemsworth, Marisa Tomei, Aaron Paul, Danny Masterson, Jenni Kayne, and George Kotsiopolus also enjoyed tours of the luxurious aircraft. To cap off the evening, party-goers were gifted with a Rimowa Topas Silver carryon case for their next travel adventures.
