The dolce gubana pastry is one of four courses at MOZZA2GO's Sunday brunch.
MOZZA2GO’s Scuola di Pizza is now serving a prix-fixe Sunday brunch. For one seating only (12:30 PM), guests can enjoy a four-course seasonal menu in the intimate, communal dining room typically reserved for private events and cooking classes. The family-style brunch is just what you’d expect from the famed Nancy Silverton/Mario Batali/Joseph Bastianich-owned Mozza Group—Italian-inspired and deliciously inventive.
Poached white asparagus drenched in Hollandaise and served with celery leaf is a welcome take on typical breakfast fare, while the roasted pork shoulder alla Toscana, with poached egg, fagioli alla Castelluciano, and cavolo nero, seamlessly melds breakfast and lunch. Market lettuces vinaigrette with carboncino round out the meal, and sweet-tooths are sure to enjoy the dolce gubana pastry with bourbon butter. At $35 per person (excluding mimosas, bellinis, wine, beer, and freshly squeezed juices), it’s well worth a visit this weekend. 6610 Melrose Ave., LA, 323-297-1130
We go behind the scenes with James Marsden, and ask him about the shoot, living in LA, and what's next.
