Smitten with Parisian casual clothing line Paul & Joe for years, fashionistas rejoiced in the opening of the brand’s first stateside store. “When you grow up in the gloomy and rainy Parisian weather you can only dream of the California sunshine, so it was natural for us to select Robertson Boulevard, which is such an enticing neighborhood,” says Paul & Joe founder Sophie Albou. Done in a palette of pastels and pinks, the 1,500-square-foot store houses the women’s collection, contemporary Paul & Joe Sister line, menswear, kids’ clothes, accessories, jewelry, cosmetics and eyewear. 138 S. Fans of LA-based women’s label The Lady & The Sailor—known for drapey cotton, rayon and silk pieces that transition from day to evening— can now indulge their passion for the line at the brand’s new freestanding boutique. Housed in a 1930s-era ivy-covered building, the brick-walled showroom-like shop has a Parisian feel. “The line features every piece my friends and I were always missing from our wardrobes,” says designer and owner Brittany Correy, who launched the brand last year. Look for The Lady & The Sailor’s raglan- striped shirts, long tanks and tunics, along with Epice printed scarves, Gryphon jackets, Assouline books and Sue London ballet flats. 9296 Civic Center Dr., Beverly Hills; theladyandthesailor.com

Red-carpet regulars and anxious brides-to-be can breathe a sigh of relief now that Vera Wang has opened a 3,500-square-foot West Coast flagship salon featuring ready-to-wear and bridal collections. The boutique exudes a serene vibe thanks to indoor and outdoor fireplaces, a waterfall feature and an outdoor garden. Mimicking Wang’s designs, the salon’s décor also plays on dark and light with dark walls in the front and lighter walls in the back. And even if you’re not in the market for a gown, it’s still worth stopping by to peruse Wang’s stunning selection of bib necklaces and chain chokers. 8445 Melrose Ave., Los Angeles; verawang.com
