Tess A Newcomer

If you’re on the hunt for environmentally friendly clothing, products, and books—and let’s face it, you should be—Vie Boutique on Third Street will have you green with envy. And this spring gets hotter than global warming as Vie merges with its neighbor, Denim Revival, to create a brand-new eco-concept boutique called Tess A Newcomer. With highend sustainable fashions, accessories, skincare, and rare reads, Tess A Newcomer will make it easier than ever to help the environment and look fabulous in the process.

Who’s shopping at Vie?

Our customers are well-informed men and women who know there doesn’t have to be a trade-off of fashion consciousness for green consciousness. They also appreciate Vie’s wide selection of sustainably made clothing, from modern essentials to cutting-edge designs.

What will shoppers fi nd this season at Vie?

Spring was inspired by one of our favorite style icons, Jane Birkin. Reminiscent of her carefree chic, this season brings beautiful white organic dresses from Loup Charmont. Complete the look by accessorizing with our recycled-gold hoop earrings and cool vintage belts.

What are the best sellers for the season?

We just can’t keep our vintage [Levi’s] 501s in stock! One of our saucy little vintage dresses and a RockLovePeace tote make the perfect outfit for Sunday trips to the farmers’ market. We also have Larsen Gray’s Moto biker jacket.

What one amazing item should we buy from Vie this season?
We are in love with the handmade friendshipbracelet skirt from Larsen Gray. The bracelet production supports two neighboring villages in India. The resulting skirt is just stunning.

What is the general concept behind your new boutique?
Tess A Newcomer is a collaboration between me and Andra McDevitt, the co-owner of the famous denim alterations store Denim Revival. Tess A Newcomer (a combination of our middle names) is an all-encompassing ecoboutique, focusing on high-end eco-designers, rare vintage pieces, exclusive organic skin and body products, and environmentally friendly accessories. This, paired with an on-site alterations team, will provide a groundbreaking eco-based fashion experience to LA. Vie, 8032 West Third Street, Los Angeles, 323-944-0530; vieonthird.com.
