Maggie Grace is tall, blonde and beautiful, and despite her time on the hit show Lost, she’s anything but. Much to the delight of the show’s fans, Grace’s character, Shannon Rutherford, made a return to the island on the highly anticipated final episodes (her character was killed off during the second season). “It was great being back in Hawaii with the original cast,” says Grace. “I was 20 when I started filming Lost, so I grew up on the set and with the cast.”

Grace has kept busy since her days playing a plane-crash survivor. She’s currently filming Faster with Billy Bob Thornton and Dwayne Johnson, a movie about an ex-con looking to avenge the death of his brother. And this June, Grace can be seen opposite Cameron Diaz and Tom Cruise in the action comedy Knight and Day. But it’s her role in the upcoming drama The Experiment—based on psychology professor Philip Zimbardo’s Stanford prison experiment—that has Grace most excited. “I was the only girl on the set, which was a little intimidating,” she says. “It’s really dark and provocative as far as making you think about mob mentality and our individual ethical responsibility.”

Though she never knows where in the world her job will take her, this Ohio-born beauty calls LA home. “I live by the beach and a farmers’ market, and my girlfriends and I just started a hiking club where we hike one of the canyons each week,” says Grace. “Where else can you live and say that? It’s a beautiful lifestyle.”
