When they’re not filming their wildly popular E! Entertainment Television shows, Keeping Up with the Kardashians and Kourtney & Khloé Take Miami, the Kardashian sisters—Kourtney, 31; Kim, 29; and Khloé, 26—continue to captivate the public with their perpetually juicy personal lives, business savvy and daring personal style. The entrepreneurial siblings have several ventures together, including their own boutiques and a special line they design for Bebe, yet they still find time to support one another through life’s big changes. (Within the last year Kourtney had son Mason with boyfriend Scott Disick, and Khloé married Laker star Lamar Odom.) In November St. Martin’s Press will publish Kardashian Konfidential, an in-depth look at the trio, complete with relationship stories and previously unseen photos. Here, the native Angelenos open up about working together, sisterhood and living life in the oh-so-bright spotlight.
LOS ANGELES CONFIDENTIAL: Did the three of you always have such a strong sisterly bond?
Kourtney: When we were younger, Kim and I did everything together because we are 18 months apart. We shared clothes, rooms and friends. Once Khloé was around 15, we got a lot closer. When I was away at college I remember sending her letters all the time.
Kim: My father always taught us that blood is thicker than water, so we have always stuck by each other’s sides.
Khloé: Kourtney and I are five years apart, so when I was younger [Kim and Kourtney] didn’t want to hang out with me; they wanted to hang out with each other. But I’ve always been more mature than my age, so I caught up with them at some point.
