In the fall our minds turn to fashion, and lately it seems you can’t open a fashion magazine without seeing the gorgeous face of supermodel Chanel Iman. The 18-year-old Culver City native was plucked from her life as a Fairfax High student in 2006 when she placed third in Ford Models’ Supermodel of the Year contest and won a coveted contract with the agency. Since then the 5’10” stunner has commanded the world’s attention on catwalks and in magazines, as well as in advertising campaigns for the likes of Gap, Polo Ralph Lauren, DVF, H&M and Bottega Veneta.

This year Iman had her first foray into television as cohost (along with fellow supermodel Bar Refaeli) of MTV’s resurrected House of Style. The fall season in Iman’s world means fashion-week runway shows in New York, Paris and Milan. And come December she earns her coveted wings as an “angel,” walking for the first time in the annual grandiose and ultrasexy Victoria’s Secret show.

So what does Iman do when she’s back on her home turf? She makes sure to frequent her favorite eateries, Roscoe’s House of Chicken and Waffles and Tito’s Tacos (totally unfair, we know). And if she wants to hit the sand, she heads to her favorite spot in Malibu, despite the fact she grew up hanging out on the beach in Santa Monica . But even one of the world’s most beautiful women enjoys simple pleasures like spending quality time with her loved ones, including her Maltese pup, Louie Dior. “I love coming home—being able to jump in my car,” says Iman. “I love the smell of the air and seeing the palm trees. I’m LA all the way!” Follow Iman on twitter at twitter.com/itsmechaneliman
