On acting under the direction of Madonna in W.E., a Julie & Julia-style film juxtaposing the love story of Wallis Simpson and King Edward VIII with a modern storyline:
“I was so excited about the idea of working with Madonna. She’s the biggest female star in the world, and there she is, directing you in a film! And she’s a really cool woman to be around. I mean, she’s one of the coolest women I’ve met in my life.”

On exploring drug-unleashed human potential in the released-this-month Limitless, also starring Bradley Cooper:
“That was an interesting film because it feels like it could almost happen—like it’s almost possible for this drug to exist. Essentially, it’s about this drug that unlocks the full potential of the human brain, so you can use 100 percent of your brain and basically become superhuman: You can learn how to read music in half a day or read a book in half an hour, master the stock market or drive a Ferrari around the racetrack—do anything. Bradley’s awesome and so easy to work with, just a lovely guy to be around.”

On exploring her own limitless potential:
“I’m really keen to work hard at the moment. I really want to be productive in creating—in all different sorts of ways. Film is definitely a priority for me right now, but I also make music as well, and I paint. I have a strong urge to be busy with all of those things. I really enjoy what I do.”
