If stress is literally weighing you down, healthy lifestyle expert Holly Mosier can help. In her new book, Stress Less, Weigh Less (out June 1), she attributes permanent weight control to managing stress and maintaining a balance of healthy eating and exercise. A former actress and medical malpractice lawyer, Mosier has had her own battles with stress and weight. It wasn’t until she began researching medicine, turned to yoga and developed a set of stress relief tools that she tightened her figure and found inner peace.
Now a yoga instructor and owner of LA Boxing, the mother of four created this book as a 31-day manual for the overworked. We love her easy breezy ways to stay fit, like 10-minute yoga and 5 ingredient recipes focused on balancing protein, carbohydrates and fat. Give her healthy French toast omelet a try this weekend.
Holly Mosier’s French Toast Omelet
SERVES ONE; APPROXIMATELY 300 CALORIES
2 large eggs
2 tbsp. low-fat milk
1 slice whole-grain bread
Splenda, or preferred sugar substitute
Beat 2 large eggs with 2 tablespoons of low-fat milk. Add cinnamon and sweetener to taste. Soak 1 piece of whole-grain in the mixture, turning it over until bread is completely coated. Pour the bread and egg mixture into a small frying pan sprayed with cooking spray, cover and cook on low heat. Flip it over after about 2 or 3 minutes. Garnish with a light dusting of powdered sugar.
