Designers give the insider scoop on spring style, and sexy stars like model-actress Jaime King, CW stunner Lucy Kate Hale, and powerhouse cover star Beyoncé Knowles make looking good look easy.

All this is just the tip of the iceberg, as Los Angeles is emerging as a bona fide fashion mecca where new trends pop up every season and unprecedented talent reveals itself throughout the city. From the catwalks to the racks of our favorite local boutiques, both veteran and emerging LA-based designers are staking their claims on the fashion forefront.

Because we love nothing better than a great soirée, we started the year off on a positive note, as our friends, clients, and team came together to celebrate the successes of three marvelous Awards-issue cover stars—Kristin Scott Thomas, Mickey Rourke, and Ralph Fiennes. This trio made the first issue of the year, and our awards-season events, truly spectacular. Fiennes shone at our pre- Golden Globes event at Skybar in the exquisitely refurbished Mondrian hotel, and Scott Thomas made a gracious and gorgeous appearance. A few nights later, Mickey Rourke—this year’s Golden Globes Best Actor—was delightful as we celebrated his win at Gordon Ramsay at the London West Hollywood.
