2011 ushers in the Year of the Rabbit on the Chinese zodiac chart. Born in a rabbit year, I stand in good company with other notable bunnies, including Angelina Jolie, Kate Winslet and Anjelica Huston. Given the typically social nature of “rabbits,” 2011 will not be a disappointment when it comes to great entertainment options.
Kicking awards season into high gear, Los Angeles is home to the 68th Annual Golden Globe Awards on January 16, the industry-insider Film Independent Spirit Awards on February 26 and the grande dame of awards shows—the 83rd Annual Academy Awards—on February 27. Here at Los Angeles Confidential, we will be celebrating all season long, in addition to hosting events, including one at the beautiful Latitude 33 development in Marina del Rey.
February in our bustling city also means it’s time for the NBA All-Star Game to be played in LA for the fifth time. To celebrate, LAC and Turner Sports will host some of the biggest names in basketball Downtown at the fabulous Conga Room on February 18.
Given all the glamorous events on the horizon, this is the time to step up our beauty regimes to be red-carpet ready. Some of my secrets include Dr. Shoreh Ershadi’s miracle Coenzyme Q10-laden skin-care products from the Antiaging Institute of California, Dr. Gabriel Chiu’s Cryo Stem Therapy facial at Beverly Hills Plastic Surgery and the life-changing high-alkaline diet plan created for me by nutritionist Khohala Wolf.
Whatever rabbit hole you decide to jump down this year, I hope 2011 brings all you cottontails a wonderful adventure.
Cheers,
