When asked why I love what I do for a living so very much, I never hesitate when answering. As a luxury lifestyle magazine publisher, I am afforded the great extravagance of meeting some of the most iconic, talented, awe-inspiring, and memorable people on planet Earth. This sort of behind-the-scenes access creates seemingly endless opportunities to experience special moments. Some times they are “wow,” unexpected, or magical moments; at other points they spark an “aha” and are so defining in nature that they change me forever. Regardless, each of these moments is unique and special in its own right, and I want to capture and treasure that kind of pixie dust for years to come.

2011 has been one such year for me—a year of decisive, heartfelt, and beautiful moments, each woven into the tapestry of my life. I am often touched at the ease with which so many extend us their trust and allow us a rare sneak peek into their otherwise very private lives. It is a great privilege indeed, one that I am grateful for each and every day.

As I look ahead to 2012, I hope each of you will also experience extraordinary moments in time—ones that include surprise, great joy, and just a little sparkle. Happy holidays and see you next year!
