The SLS Hotel at Beverly Hills hosted the inaugural Monteru cocktail competition, where acclaimed mixologists crafted original drinks using the eau-de-vie liquor. Competitors were judged on overall presentation, best use of time and materials, most entertaining to watch, taste, and visual and conceptual connection with Monteru. The Spare Room’s Naomi Schimek took the prize with her Alsace Cobbler cocktail, which combined Monteru Riesling Eau de Vie with French tarragon, lemon, and apricot tea syrup.
