To celebrate its 25th anniversary, Conservation International hosted an intimate dinner at Casa Del Mar in Santa Monica. The 200 guests watched a short 3-D video on the foundation’s most successful field projects. The film, which was co-produced by Sony Pictures, featured real-life encounters with various wildlife and anecdotes from marine photojournalist Brian Skerry. Nancy Ritter and CI chairman and CEO Peter Seligmann briefed the supporters on CI’s past, as well as their involvement with the foundation and all its accomplishments. The evening raised over $500,000 for the foundation’s efforts to conserve and protect nature.
