6:45 AM
Wake up with my beautiful wife [Cindy Crawford] next to me and sometimes kids who have quietly snuck in during the night. Breakfast with the kids, and then either Cindy or I or both of us drop them off at school.

8:30 AM
At home answering e-mails and speaking with my New York office about anything important that happened last night in our restaurants and bars.

9:15 AM
Head to the gym in my house, work out for an hour, take a steam and shower and then go to work.

10:45 AM
Arrive at my office in Malibu. Answer more e-mails, return calls to a hotel company that wants me to come up with concepts and design ideas for its new brand. Call the design firm working on bottle concepts for a new line of liquors I’m developing.

NOON
Meet with my Malibu staff. Go over marketing and PR strategies, review music playlists and DJs and current and future design projects—including our new venues, Whiskey Blue and Red 2 One at the W Santiago in Chile—as well some new design elements for Whiskey Bar & Grill in Chicago and Whiskey Blue in NY. Get a call that our Midnight Bar Collection drink mixers have been picked up by another major retailer, which makes us happy.

1:30 PM
Stop at Malibu Lumber Yard to have lunch at our newly opened Café Habana.

2:30 PM
Back to the office to check in with my wife and make plans for the evening. Make some calls and check e-mails to coordinate things for a house we’re building.

3:30 PM
Call the kids to see how their day was and maybe get them to come by the office and skateboard. The Malibu office is perfect for riding—big with smooth epoxy floors.

4 PM
Look through the stack of mail on my desk and then the stack of P&Ls (profit-and-loss statements) that have been sitting there for a few days. I prefer the creative side of my business and my brother Scott does the financial end, but it’s good to know what’s happening with everything.

5:30 PM
Head home and hang with the kids.

6 PM
Shower, throw on a suit and go to a party with my wife to support a friend of ours who is hosting.

9:30 PM
Stop by Whiskey Blue [in the W Los Angeles-Westwood] for a drink on our way to dinner at La Dolce Vita.

1 AM
After a great night of eating, drinking and laughing with friends, head back to Malibu, kiss my sleeping kids and get into bed.
