The Parish Boasts British-Style Fare
Downtown welcomes English Gastro-pub to the neighborhood.
July 26, 2012

The LA Fashion District is expanding its dining presence with the opening of new gastro-pub The Parish. Set to debut tomorrow (Friday, July 27), the eatery will serve tasty British fare concocted by executive chef, Casey Lane. Widely known for his impeccable Venice restaurant The Tasting Kitchen, Lane will cook up an updated daily menu focusing on meats and British-style pub plates. In-house butchering and curing will result in freshly prepared pork head pot pies, and a Tuscan imported wood-fire grill will work to churn out honeycomb buttered corn, stout grilled sausages served with pickled cherries, and buttermilk fried chicken.
Creative cocktails, finely curated wines, and locally brewed craft beers will make for excellent dinner pairings or after-work drinks to sip in the dark, vintage-style bar. Reminiscent of an old Hollywood lounge, The Parish features floor-to-ceiling windows, antique furniture, and reclaimed Douglas Fir wood floors. Look for a full breakfast, lunch, and weekend brunch to be introduced in the coming months. 840 S. Spring St., Downtown LA, 213-225-2400
