Summer Treats at The Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles

Old-fashioned sundaes and other cold sweets make for indulgent desserts.

July 17, 2012

The Four Seasons's signature ice cream dish, The Kitchen Sink, is joined by other cold creations this summer.

The Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles is now spotlighting luxuriously sweet treats for summer as part of a larger, national Summer of Ice Cream program. In addition to updated-weekly farmers market-inspired sorbets and gelatos from executive pastry chef Federico Fernandez, Four Seasons has a few new cold and creamy concoctions on the dessert menu.

To complement its signature sundae, The Kitchen Sink—a melting pot of seven types of homemade gelato, flavored syrups, meringue sticks, caramelized hazelnuts, candied cherries, assorted fresh fruit, and sprinkles—the Four Seasons introduces classics with a spin like gelato pie (meyer lemon, hazelnut graham crust, blueberries, and whipped cream) to the hotel’s swanky indoor/outdoor eatery, Culina, Modern Italian. In the more casual Windows Lounge, guests can satisfy sweet tooths with treats like the Knickerbocker Glory, an old-fashioned British sundae of vanilla ice cream, jello, berries, and whipped cream; or vanilla ice cream sandwiches with vanilla ice cream bookended by triple chocolate cookies. 300 S.
