New Nightlife Spot: Bootsy Bellows

David Arquette brings an eclectic Rat Pack-style club to West Hollywood.

July 05, 2012

Bootsy Bellows, a nightclub that puts a spin on the Rat Pack era, is now open for business. The 1950s-inspired spot is a new venture from actor David Arquette in partnership with Brian Toll, Darren Dzienciol, Deborah Maguire, and John Terizian. Drawing its name from Arquette’s late mother—a burlesque dancer who performed under the moniker “Bootsy Bellows”—the Sunset Boulevard hangout features over-the-top entertainment such as life-sized puppet shows, burlesque dancers, a shadowbox theater, and piano concerts.

In addition to the theatrics, the décor is straight out of a vintage supper club. Bootsy Bellows is split into two rooms—a main space featuring an expansive dance floor, DJ booth, and strobe lighting, and a more intimate lounge complete with couches, dangling disco ball, and framed pin-up photos of Arquette’s mom. Already attracting A-list celebrities (Katy Perry, Justin Beiber, Selena Gomez, and Robert Pattinson partied at its soft opening on June 26), Bootsy Bellows is sure to be summer’s most buzzed-about venue. 9229 W. Sunset Blvd., West Hollywood, 310-274-7500
