Legendary Animator Opens Santa Monica's gGallery

Emmy-winning producer/animator reveals eclectic art gallery.

July 18, 2012

TV/film animation is art on screen, which is why it was a natural step for Emmy-winning producer/animator Gabor Csupo to launch an art gallery entitled gGallery. Csupo, co-founder of independent animation production company Klasky Csupo, has been the creative force behind iconic series such as The Rugrats, The Simpsons, and Aaahh!!! Real Monsters.

In his new role as curator, Csupo reveals an eclectic mix of art from his private collection, including cast bronzes of Pablo Picasso innovatively displayed under hanging mannequins. A fusion of paintings, sculpture, drawings, mixed media, and antiques, the gallery’s goal is to showcase all that is unique, interesting, and even wacky. Expect works from artists like Andy Warhol, Van Gogh, and Banksy. 319 Wilshire Blvd., Santa Monica, 310-393-1120
