Framework Previews at MOCA
Series featuring Benjamin Millepied brings Mark Bradford’s Warhol-inspired work to life.
July 23, 2012

A combination of art and dance, LA Dance Project showcased a preview of Framework at MOCA on July 19 in anticipation of its repeat August 2 and 9 performances. The show, produced by LA Dance Project’s Benjamin Millepied in homage to LA-based artist Mark Bradford, ran as a 25-minute set.
Millipeid—a New York City ballet principal who gained household fame as the choreographer for Black Swan and is married to Natalie Portman—took the floor with former Stephen Petronio Company dancer Amanda Wells. The number’s muse, Bradford, currently has two works in MOCA’s “The Painting Factory: Abstraction After Warhol,” which runs through August 20. Entry for the August 2 and 9 (7 PM) showings are on a first-come, first-serve basis. 250 S. Grand Ave., LA, 213-626-6222
